Trish Moulton

Owner and Instructor

Trish Moulton has been educating dancers for over 20 years. As owner of Dance Studio of Maine she thrives on seeing all dancers succeed. Trish has choreographed and directed many award winning routines. Trish is certified International Dance Teaching Standards. She has coached for the Sea Dogs Dance team & Lady Red Claws. Along with having many great connection and friendships within the greater dance community. Her training still continues with classes and seminars. “I believe that the student can be the teacher”.

Nikki Girroir

Director and Instructor

Nikki Girroir epitomizes an unwavering passion for dance across its diverse tapestry of styles. From Laducas to tap shoes, she adores all facets of dance, infusing each step with her boundless enthusiasm. Nikki graduated from The University of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Modern Dance Performance and has performed professionally with contemporary dance companies in Boston. Renowned for her innovative choreography, Nikki's award-winning routines have earned her the title of Emerging Choreographer and secured her dancers a coveted spot at an esteemed International Dance Competition in Spain. She is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor and enjoys teaching many other genres of dance. Nikki is also certified in Pilates, Pilates Reformer, and Barre fitness, bringing a versatile proficiency across genres from Jazz and Tap to Contemporary and Ballet.

With over a decade of experience in dance education, Nikki proudly serves as the guiding force behind DSOM South. Her mentorship has propelled aspiring dancers toward professional careers within the industry. As an competition adjudicator, she continues to shape the future of dance, steadfast in her mission to kindle the flames of passion and expertise in others. Nikki loves directing and teaching at DSOM South and cherishes being a part of the Sanford community. She finds immense joy in watching the community grow each year, believing that dance is a powerful vehicle to bring people together.

 

Megan Edmonds

Instructor

Megan Edmonds is the former owner and artistic director of Portsmouth School of Ballet in Portsmouth, NH. Megan comes from Colorado and Oklahoma where she trained, danced professionally, judged for dance competitions and taught dance. She is currently a full time photographer specializing in dance photography!

She trained with the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, Richmond Ballet in Virginia, San Diego Ballet and was a company member for the former Ballet Emmanuel Company of Colorado Springs from 2006-2009. Megan attended the University of Oklahoma for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater.

Megan led her studio to many awards for studio excellence and high technique awards. Some of Megan’s former students have joined Broadway national tours, danced professionally with ballet and contemporary companies, gone on to teach and also received available scholarships to colleges and dance programs.

Megan is proud to be a part of the DSOM south community and share her love of dance with the southern Maine dancers!


Brittany Sawyer

Instructor

Mrs. Brittany is a lifelong dancer with a background in all styles of dance. As a mother herself, she has a special affinity for teaching preschool and grown up and me classes where she can nurture the next generation of dancers. With a background and education in neonatal/pediatric Respiratory Therapy, Mrs. Brittany brings a unique understanding of the importance of physical health and wellness to her dance instruction. Her warm and nurturing approach has made her a beloved figure in the dance community, and her students adore her for her energy, patience, and ability to make learning fun. Mrs Brittany relates to the unique needs of her young students and parents, making her classes a welcoming and inclusive space for all.

 
 
 

Felicia Pitcher

Instructor

Felicia Pitcher has been dancing since the age of 5 and continued through her senior year when she graduated in 2019. During her 14 years dancing, she trained with Miss Nikki as her mentor for about 6 years and under her guidance taught ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz, and acro. Two highlights of Felicia's high school dance career were scoring 2nd overall teen solo with Miss Nikki's choreography and earning the title of Victory Cup National Champion with her team at the 2018 Starpower nationals. Finally, she traveled around New England attending Pulse Dance convention, Jump, and Rebel Dance Convention, taking classes with Travis Wall, Brian Freeman, Tyce Diorio, Mia Michaels, Misha Gabriel, Kenny Wormald, and many other big names in the business.Currently, Felicia is studying Event Planning with a minor in Hospitality at the University of New Hampshire. Although she took a short break, Felicia can't wait to begin her new dance journey as a teacher with the DSOM South team!

Baylee Call

Instructor

Baylee has been immersed in dance since the age of 4, participating both competitively and recreationally. Fueled by a deep love for creativity and movement, Baylee made the decision to venture into dance education in 2021 at Dance Studio of Maine South, after 14 years of being a dedicated dance student. A devotee of hip hop and contemporary styles, Baylee generously imparts her passion to her students, infusing her dance classes with positive and uplifting energy. Excited to witness the unfolding season, she eagerly anticipates observing the growth and confidence of the dance students within the warm and welcoming environment of Dance Studio of Maine South.
